Since retiring from the Sheriff’s Office, I manage our six-generation family farm and have a small contracting business.

I proudly serve as Jackson County Recorder. My family and I live in Brownstown, where I served as Brownstown Township Trustee for 16 years prior to my current role. I was in the Leadership Jackson County class of 2023 and found it to be an amazing experience. LJC has given me the chance to meet some wonderful people, and I am excited to have the opportunity to serve on the LJC Board of Directors.

Work in this community is more connected that I realized prior to my participation in LJC. I graduated in 2024, and joined the Board of Directors in the same year. I am the Senior Materials Engineer for Aisin World Corporation of America, and I help my dad and brother on our family farm. I am married with one son and have lived in Brownstown all my life.

I was born and raised in Jackson County but was still surprised by how much my wife and I learned as LJC class members. While my work life at Cummins and Schwätzer's German Restaurant connects me to my community, LJC engages me with my community. This engagement has confirmed my motivation to raise our family in Jackson County.

I have been the Freeman Municipal Airport Manager for the past 3 years. I graduated from LJC in 2024 and joined the Board of Directors in the same year. I am thankful to work in and support the many great communities we have surrounding us. One of my takeaways from LJC was that working as a team with integrity, dignity, perseverance, and transparency can create solutions to all obstacles.

I am a lifelong resident of Seymour, wife, mother and grandmother. After retiring from Schneck Medical Center as both the Director of Development and Executive Director of Schneck Foundation, I accepted the Director or Leadership Jackson County. Prior to that, I spent over 30 years with Girls Inc. as the first Program Director and later as Executive Director. It has been a blessing and a privilege to have had the opportunity to serve Jackson County in my various positions.
