Leadership Jackson County

By participating in LJC, you are given the tools to develop the skills and knowledge which will help you become an effective community leader. Designed to broaden your knowledge of past and present Jackson County, the program consists of a series of seminars and field trips led by experienced community leaders and professionals, that will equip you as a leader for the future of our county.

If you are selected to be one of this year’s LJC class members you will be making a serious, but rewarding commitment. Attendance at all ten class sessions is expected which are held once a month beginning in September through May at different locations and establishments throughout the county.

Each class participant is a part of a small team which plans a group project to benefit Jackson County in some fashion. This project is presented at the last session each year, and is always implemented. (All past projects are on file at the Seymour Public Library).

Tuition: $1,200.00 (Limited scholarships are available for those who qualify).
